Returns

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

1. CHANGE OF MIND

If you change your mind or you picked the wrong product, please contact us. If it’s within 14 days of you receiving the item and the product is in their original condition and packaging* we will issue a refund for the item excluding the delivery fee and a 5% restocking fee.

If you would like to return an item please contact us so we can arrange a pick up. Please note you will have to pay the shipping fee to return the goods unless you are able to bring it back to us in person or arrange the shipment yourself.

Items that have been manufactured for you or stock that needs to be modified for sale (e.g. cable cut to length) cannot be refunded or returned unless they are faulty or significantly different from what was actually purchased.

*If the item is not in the original packaging, has been fitted, is in a non-resealable condition or had to be modified for sale (e.g. cable cut to length), no credit will be issued and we can’t accept the return.

1.1 Refund Policy for Orders with Waiting Periods

If you've placed an order with us and have been notified of a waiting period for certain items through our product page or our communication with you via phone or email, and you agree to this waiting period by making the purchase or confirming it with us, but subsequently decide to cancel and request a refund, we will refund the item/order amount minus a 5% restocking fee.

 

 

1.2 Exceptions / non-returnable items

 
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like cable, conduit, or custom products (such as special orders or personalized items). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. 

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

 

2. FAULTY ITEM

If you find your item is faulty, please contact us to explain the fault. Our technicians will go through a series of questions with you over the phone to determine the situation.

If the product seems to be faulty and it is still in the valid warranty time** we can arrange the return of the product. Please note that you will be charged for the return shipment of the product to us and once it is determined that the product is actually faulty, you will be reimbursed for the return shipment fee.  

07/03/24 :If you are ordering from a country other than Australia, and believe a product you purchased from us is found to be faulty, you are responsible for shipping-related costs associated with the return of the original product(s) and the shipment of the repaired or replacement product(s).

Once we receive the item back, it will be assessed by one of our technicians. According to the manufacturers’ warranty policies, items of certain brands will need to be sent off to the manufacturer by us and be accessed by their own technicians again. Please note that this can take some time and it is out of our hands to speed this process up as it’s up to each manufacturer. Depending on the manufacturers’ warranty policies the product will be repaired by the manufacturer and returned to you or you will receive a replacement or refund. In case of a refund please note that you will only be refunded the amount paid for the product, not the delivery cost.

If there is no fault present, we won’t be able to give you a refund or replacement and you will have to pay a redelivery fee to receive your item back.

Please understand that we are bound to the manufacturer’s warranty policies. All claims under warranty must be made within the relevant warranty times with details of proof of purchase in the form of a copy of an invoice or invoice number. We also require a detailed description of the fault.

** Warranty times are set by the manufacturer and can vary by a lot, please refer to the items description for more information. If there is no specified warranty time, the warranty period is generally 3 months.

WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY IF
  • the product shows failure or damage caused by incorrect or faulty fitment or treatment
  • you have modified the product
  • the product shows accidental or intentional damage
  • the product is damaged due to failure of other products
  • environmental damage has occurred
  • the product has been misused contrary to user instructions or packaging labels
  • the warranty time set by the manufacturer has run out
  • you simply change your mind 

 

3. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

If a customer who has made a purchase in any currency which is not Australian dollars for purchases made in Australia, requests a refund, we will refund the original purchase amount in the Australian dollar amount at the exchange rate in effect at the time of purchase.

Please note that exchange rates can fluctuate over time, and the refunded amount may be different from the original purchase amount due to these fluctuations. However, we will always refund the original purchase amount in the Australian dollar amount based on the exchange rate in effect at the time of purchase.

If you are ordering from a country other than Australia, and believe a product you purchased from us is found to be faulty, you are responsible for shipping-related costs associated with the return of the original product(s) and the shipment of the repaired or replacement unit(s).

 

4. ROTATING ELECTRICS PURCHASES

When you purchase a starter motor or alternator from us, you are acknowledging that you have selected the suitable product for the intended vehicle. Returns are not possible once the product(s) have been fitted, whether due to change of mind or because the product is deemed unsuitable for the intended vehicle.

Warranties related to rotating electric parts are based on the manufacturers warranty policy. Perth Pro Auto Electric Parts is bound by the manufacturer's warranty policy, which may include the requirement to remove the alternator and return it to Perth Pro Auto Electric Parts for testing and subsequent shipment to the manufacturer if necessary.

 

      5. REFUND INFORMATION

      Once a refund is granted, you should expect to receive your refund within 7 days.

      Please note that we cannot reimburse you for any consequential or other cost or loss or the cost of removal or refitting of any parts.

      By ordering a product you acknowledge that you are responsible for having the necessary knowledge about the products you ordered and that it is in your responsibility to order the appropriate products and you don’t rely on Perth Pro Auto Electric Parts to advise or assist in the selection of products or their fitment or application.
