Description

Developed specifically for Mining applications. Heavy duty bracket resists against vibration. Light distribution optimized for mining machinery.

Light output (measured): Up to 7,800 lumen

The RokLUME 380 features a powerful light engine of 7,800 measured lumens and comes with five different light distributions including our industry first ZEROGLARE optic. HELLA Mining has developed the ZEROGLARE optical system to bring the safety and comfort of highway driving to mining operations! The ZEROGLARE optical system ensures no light from oncoming traffic will be directed into the eyes of oncoming drivers eliminating the occurrence of discomfort or disability glare. The innovative optical system has a sharp horizontal cut off to control the light onto the ground in front of the vehicle and not into oncoming operator’s field of vision.

Heavy Duty, Mining Quality

The HELLA Mining RokLUME 380 is the perfect worklight for the tough conditions in a Mining business. Quality materials like the impact resistant hard-coated polycarbonate lens and the premium anti-corrosion aluminium housing ensure a long lifetime and maintenance-free lighting product. The Heavy Duty stainless steel bracket and the rubber dampening system keep everything in check from vibration. The electronic components fulfill the statutory approvals including ECE-R10 and RCM compliance.

These light are often used as headlights on normal, non-mining vehicles but have the benefits of long lasting high quality.

Advanced design techniques and assembly robotics ensure that the RokLUME 380 worklights are manufactured to be fully sealed and submersible to meet the stringent requirements of IP 6K9K and IP 6K8, ensuring no dust or water ingress can occur. The RokLUME 380 features an advanced NanoSafe non-stick and easy to clean surface coating. The worklights are mounted very quickly, thanks to the Nord-Lock washers and the laser engraved inclination angles on the bracket.

FAQ's

What is the Optimal Kelvins for my driving lights?

The optimal Kelvin we recommend is 5000. This is the colour temperature that our eyes have evolved to see best – midday daylight. You are able to see the most detail without straining your eyes and causing fatigue. Especially important when you are driving for long periods of time. In comparison 4000 Kelvin are a bit weaker and don’t give you enough detailed vision. Whereas 6000 Kelvin can cause a glare on the reflection from road signs which can lead to eye fatigue quicker.

What distance should my driving lights cover?

Generally, 300 meters ahead is enough for most standard cars. It’s good practice to cover about 3-4 times your stopping distance. As a rule of thumb, it’s always good to cover rather a bit more than too little as you want to be able to see anything on and alongside the road to allow you to hit you brakes and stop in time.
